Railing Replacement Notice

 Dear Residents,

On April 4th, Elite Railings & Windows will begin the Walkway and Fire Exit Railing Replacement Project. The project will take approximately 3 months to complete. Work hours will be from Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, excluding recognized holidays.

The work will start on the Diamond Head end of the walkway. The first phase of the work will be to drill holes into the concrete where the new railing brackets will be installed. After all of the holes are drilled, the brackets and railings will be installed in a vertical fashion from top to bottom in 50 feet spans at a time.

The safety of the residents will be the number one priority. The existing railings will be removed from the concrete and secured inboard of the walkway approximately 1 foot from the edge, allowing for a work space at the edge for the workman to install the new rails. Once the new rails are installed and secured, the old railings will be removed from their temporary location.

The contractors will be utilizing part of the small parking lot for storage of equipment, materials, etc. They will be placing a pod in the lot next to the building. They will do their best to minimize any inconvenience to residents who park in that lot. There will also be a porta-potti set up on property for their use.

Please be very careful during this project. Observe all cordoned off areas & signage. Do not lean against or tamper with any of the railing systems while work is in progress. Be watchful of your children & pets.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this very important project.
